At the recent Phi Gamma Delta Ekklesia, Brother Matthew Hazleton was honored for more than two decades of dedicated volunteer service to the fraternity. Matthew served as the Purple Legionnaire for the Colorado School of Mines for 12 years before advancing to Section Leader, where he provided support to a number of regional chapters including Mines, CU, CSU, Colorado College, and Utah State. His dedication to the fraternity earned him an elected position on the Section Leader Executive Committee, where he served two consecutive two-year terms, followed by a two-year term as the Section Leader of Leaders. For the past two years, he's continued his service to the Section Leader committee in an advisory capacity.
When asked about his proudest achievements, Brother Matthew Hazleton highlighted three key accomplishments: sustaining and perpetuating Phi Gamma Delta in the region, giving Mines and other local chapters a voice at the international level, and connecting with his brothers to help them become stronger, more resilient men.
As Matthew steps back from more official roles within the fraternity, his commitment to supporting the BCA and providing mentorship to his brothers remains as strong as ever.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Matthew for his significant contributions and eagerly anticipate his ongoing efforts to inspire and guide future leaders.
